A festive atmosphere greeted the 30 folks who attended the 2009 Christmas party at Oak Forest.  Good fellowship and a good meal sealed the deal.  A short PowerPoint program on the life of Bill Jennings followed the meal.  Donations from members to MADD (in Bill’s honor) and $100 from the club resulted in a donation to MADD of $265.  Thanks to everyone who donated.  Jerry and Carolyn Seale scooped up the Quantum Sails give-aways.  Mark awarded individual trophies for the Bill Jennings Memorial Race, held in November, and presented to the membership the perpetual trophy which will reside at the clubhouse.  Mark then presented officer flags to the new officers and welcomed the new board members before handing over the helm to Al Hildebrand, the new Commodore.  Al presented the Jerry Irwin Cup (honoring past commodores) to Mark for his service as Commodore in 2009, and briefly outlined his plans for 2010.  Thanks to Sandra and Ann for handling all the details related to the party!
